Practical AI, Grounded in Real Business Understanding
We are a Kuala Lumpur–based consultancy that brings artificial intelligence into day-to-day operations — not as a concept, but as a working tool.
Back to HomeHow parallars Came to Be
parallars was founded in 2019 by a small group of engineers and process analysts who had spent years working inside large Malaysian corporations. What they noticed, repeatedly, was a gap between the promise of AI technology and the practical reality of implementing it in organisations that relied on legacy systems, manual workflows, and paper-heavy processes.
Rather than building another platform or product, the team chose to focus on services — working directly with operations, finance, and compliance teams to understand their actual pain points and then applying the right combination of AI techniques to address them. The name parallars reflects this philosophy: parallel perspectives, converging toward clearer outcomes.
Today, parallars serves clients across manufacturing, professional services, logistics, and financial operations — primarily in Peninsular Malaysia, though we have supported projects in Singapore and the broader ASEAN region as well. Our team has grown, but the founding approach remains the same: listen first, assess carefully, and build solutions that people actually use.
Our Mission
To make AI adoption practical and worthwhile for businesses of all sizes — by focusing on clear outcomes rather than technical novelty.
Our Vision
A business environment where intelligent tools work alongside teams naturally — reducing friction, surfacing insight, and freeing people for higher-value work.
Our Values
Transparency in recommendations, respect for existing processes, measurable value delivery, and a commitment to building tools that empower rather than replace.

Quality & Compliance
PDPA Compliance
All engagements follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 requirements. Data handling procedures are documented and shared with clients at project start.
ISO 27001 Aligned
Our internal information security practices align with ISO 27001 principles, covering access control, data classification, and incident response protocols.
Structured Delivery
Each project follows a phased approach with documented milestones, client sign-off points, and regular progress reviews to keep delivery on track.
Confidentiality Protocols
NDAs are standard for all engagements. Client data is processed in isolated environments and deleted according to agreed-upon retention schedules.
Continuous Learning
Our team participates in regular training on emerging AI techniques, with a focus on responsible AI development practices and model governance.
Industry Partnerships
We maintain working relationships with cloud infrastructure providers and enterprise software vendors to ensure compatibility and access to the latest tooling.
Expertise Rooted in Local Operations
Working with AI in a Malaysian business context means understanding the particular mix of enterprise software, manual processes, regulatory requirements, and multilingual documentation that characterises operations here. parallars was built with that understanding. Our consultants have walked factory floors, sat in finance departments, and reviewed compliance checklists across a range of industries — from manufacturing plants in Selangor to professional services firms in central KL.
What distinguishes our approach is an insistence on working with the systems you already have in place. We do not advocate ripping out and replacing your existing infrastructure. Instead, we look for the connective tissue — the APIs, data exports, and workflow triggers — that allow intelligent components to integrate without disruption. The result is AI that works within your current operating model rather than demanding you adopt a new one.
This philosophy extends to how we manage projects. Every engagement begins with a clear scoping document, includes regular checkpoints with your team, and concludes with a knowledge transfer so that your staff can maintain and evolve the solution independently. We believe that lasting value comes not from dependency on a vendor, but from genuine capability building within your own organisation.
